What it is
Hello! First off, I want to thank you for clicking on the link to support me. During the coming summer, Missouri State University XA will be partnering with the Tokyo University XA to help out on the campus. I am enrolled with the team and will be traveling overseas to help out during the rainy season in Japan. Even if you are simply curious, my prayer is you are as excited to help share the Gospel as I am through the Japanese branch of Chi Alpha Ministries.
Why Japan?

It’s Japan! The place has a mythic feeling to it, with samurai, sushi, and all sorts of technology. Entertainment, both animated and non-animated, is almost too strange to believe. Though on a more serious note, it is mostly due to the amount of unreached people there. The Far East has notoriously been a site of major spiritual warfare, and it is our purpose as Christians to combat this. I believe the main inspiration to join this trip comes from my own experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic. I was alone, only going to school and work. No community, no friends, nothing.
This is a reflection of the Japanese work culture. You go to work, you go home. Sometimes you go out drinking until the night ends, then go immediately back into the office.
This is no way for anybody to live.
My goal during the trip is to inspire many of the younger generation around my age to seek a community planted in the Lord. This will both set them on their way for the future, but also helps keep them hopeful in a dark environment. I am also excited to see a good friend through the Assemblies of God Missionary Field working literally across the street from the XA building when I get there.
Important Link
If you feel called to give, you can provide support here.
Even if you don’t have the budget to help out, I would ask you to continue praying for success for the trip. My team needs all the support from the Holy Ghost we can, be it physical safety or knowledge of how to reach the unreached.
Whatever way you aid us, please make sure to email me your home address after donating at merrimantinsley@gmail.com. I want to be able provide personal photo souvenirs after I return to the USA. I think a physical memento is a great reminder of the work you have done for the Kingdom.
Thank you again, and may the Lord be with you!
